Ni no Kuni is a JRPG that takes inspiration from classic role-playing games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. The game was created by Level 5, the same company that made the Professor Layton series.
The game is set in a world called Ni no Kuni, which translates to "second country." The protagonist of the game, Oliver, lives in Motorville with his mother and sister. One day he finds a mysterious book that transports him to this new world where he must save it from destruction.
The gameplay centers around exploring dungeons and fighting enemies with Oliver's party members while collecting items and gold along the way. Players can also capture monsters to fight alongside them in battle.

The World of Ni no Kuni
Ni no Kuni is a JRPG game which has been developed by Level-5. It was released on the 9th of January in 2010 for the Nintendo DS. The game is set in a fictional world where humans and monsters coexist and it follows the story of Oliver, a young boy who sets out to find his lost mother.
The game starts with Oliver's mother being killed by a monster, after which he is sent to live with his grandmother. He goes on to meet Roland, who tells him about the world of Ni no Kuni and how he can save his mother if he collects enough tears from monsters that are located throughout this world. The gameplay includes exploration, combat and puzzle solving.
First Day of the Game
The game starts with the protagonist, a prince named Amaterasu, waking up in a strange place. The player is then given the opportunity to name him. The player will then be prompted to choose between three animal companions: a monkey, a frog and a dog. The player will also be prompted to choose their gender as male or female and their skin color. Amaterasu's destiny is then revealed by the voice of his ancestor, who tells him that he must find three sacred treasures in order to save his land from being destroyed by darkness.
This game has been hailed as one of the best RPGs ever made because of its unique gameplay and story line. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was released on March 23rd 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PC with an Xbox One release date yet
