The company has been in existence for over 20 years, and has been consistently recognised as a leading developer of video games. The company is responsible for the Dark Souls series, one of the most influential game franchises in recent history and Bloodborne, a critically-acclaimed action RPG that was released on March 24th, 2015.
Since its establishment in 1996, FromSoftware has continued to produce high-quality content for more than two decades. The company currently employs more than 200 staff and is located in Tokyo.

FromSoftware is a Japanese video game developer which was founded in 1986. The company’s first game was King’s Field for the Sony PlayStation. In March 2019, FromSoftware announced that they were working on a new project called Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for release in 2019.

The History of FromSoftware & the Witcher 3
The company From Software was founded in 1986 by a group of former Namco employees. They were working on arcade games and had some success with the game “King’s Field”. The company then moved to console games and released “King’s Field II” in 1997. They then went on to release the critically acclaimed “Demon Souls”, which helped establish them as one of Japan's most well respected developers.
In 2002 they released "King's Field III" which was their last game for the Playstation 2 console. In 2004 they released "Killer7" which was originally intended for Nintendo GameCube but ended up being released for the Playstation 2 instead due to exclusivity agreement issues with Nintendo. They have since gone on to develop other successful games
